Has anyone been able to fit a Mikuni HSR42 on an S2 and keep the original air cleaner?

I have not a S2 and I never installed the factory Bread box
But I have an S1W with a HSR42.
If you install it with the usual "Mikuni to CV filter adapter", the positioning of the 3 holes (circled) where the stock CV filter are, is the same .
