Hey all
2000 S3 with thunderstorm heads

Is it safe for me to assume that this motor shares the same head bolts as the same year 1200 Sportster?

they look the same in the parts book just wanna double check before I order some.

Thanks

My mistake, head bolts are the same, the difference was in the front motor mount bolts if installing on a Sportster.

Oil up the head surface for the bolt and underside of the bolt good so when you torque the force is applied smooth. using the .030 gasket thats .010 tighter to me justified cleaning up the bolts and reuse them.

Right, but don't oil the threads this changes the torque value.
