So I picked up this S3 about 6 months ago and am sorting it out, its not a cream puff but not a basket case.

The Trip button for the speedo doesn't work
I know its little but its bugging me.

Dug in to it, if I just it at the back of the switch it works so I know the speedo is still good.

Is there a replacement switch or do I just need to find my own waterproof momentary

My trip odo lost the nut on my ride from Lee's Summit with my new to me S2T.

Went to Hals Harley and they had a box of Buell parts. Found one, but was attached to button and the cable assy.

You may get lucky at an HD/old Buell dealer. Or maybe Twin Motorcycles can find one for you.

Best...

What year of S3? 1999 and later had electronic speedometers.

Steve, my office is in downtown Lees Summit, (if it is the one I am thinking of) I have seen that S2 around here for years. Glad you scooped it up.

The 2000/2001 S3 trip reset can blow a fuse. Everything else will work OK but the trip reset. Check it out. Maybe it is corrosion with the fuse and fuse box also.

Well I went my own route and fixed it.

Worked perfect. Fit in the factory hole with out modifying and the factory rubber boot fit right over the back of the switch to protect it.

Kc_xombie:
Could be the same S2T you saw there.
Bought the bike from Jorg Will. Used to own a machine shop in the area. Good man!
