So here is the new Random Engineering Sportster/Buell hydraulic clutch cover.

https://www.randomeng.com/

Am willing to take a chance on this conversion. Already have the clutch master cylinder from an 1125. Need the fluid line and lever.

Initial impression so far is that the piece is well machined. Not completely brushed but not fully polished either. What you see is what came with the kit. All text instructions so it would be helpful to have the manual.

Unfortunately, I will not be able to make the conversion yet. I recently moved cross country and into a new home. My S1 is in the garage and packed behind a wall of household goods boxes. I still need to set up my living conditions so it will be a few weeks before I can start anything on the bike.

Please bear with the hi-res and large images because I want people to get as detailed view of the product as possible.

So the clutch ramp moves the clutch in and out. In degrees that move with the clutch cable. How will you adjust the full travel of the hydraulic clutch with this modification?

I like your thinking.

Is not me who made it. I bought it.

Interesting, the standard clutch actuator pulls the pack open by squeezing the diaphragm spring, I guess that you access the adjustment by removing the outside cover. The outer housing is designed to handle twisting forces so I would watch for cracking of the primary cover

Wonder what’s the function of the divot in the side?

I just received mine too, Purpony has one for a long time and loves it. The divot in the side is to clear the clutch cable hump that is cast into the factory primary cover, you can see the continuation of the hump on your normal style derby cover as well. This design should hold up better than the factory set up as the pressure of the clutch is supported by the small lip that the ramp setup sits on versus this design that distributes that same force across the whole derby cover area. I highly doubt any cracking will occur nor twisting, look at the inner ribbing of the factory primary cover. Behind the outer door of this design is a hydraulic piston that pulls the clutch pin outward when the clutch lever is pulled. Works a lot like the 1125 setup.

@Oldog,

Yes, I will. Am ordering the 1125R hydraulic clutch pieces. Got the line. I can find a used master cylinder but I think the rebuild kit maybe more problematic.
