Around 37000. Went in at 4000 on the speedo.
Looks good to me. Not really a significant groove at all esp. remembering what we saw on the stocker. Everything else looks great. Pump is coming out in a hurry. Front oil hose is coming off for inspection. Its Obsolete. Need to hurry up and get the motor sealed up. Then Stenzil brace. I am also putting a new check ball/spring and seat in the filter.

Let us know how the stenzel brace works for you. I always debate buying one, I'd love to get rid of some of these vibrations, but for all the people who say it smooths out the bike so much, I hear other people say it made the vibrations worse, so I haven't felt like putting out $100 just for an experiment. It'd absolutely be worth it if it helped though.

Someone said all the X1s got them in Germany. None of the breakages occur with the front mount. Heads busted. Doesnt happen with the brace " " My mount broke and sheered off a bolt head. Replaced it with another stock mount and kept an eye on the bolts movements. No problem for 11 years but we will see.

ill be removing the pinion nut. Applying locktight and using the Hammer Performance torque spec. He said Buells is way too low.

Pro-tip: when torquing down the pinion nut, be mindful of the final position of the flats/points of the nut in relation to the mark on the pinion gear. If you do it just right, the point of the nut will cover the mark on the pinion gear.

Dont ask how I know this.

The front oil hose going from the pump to the filter is available as an aftermarket piece from Drag Specialties and others. I think Twin motorcycles sells the correct length.

Oil pump Return gero found with a wide gouge in the center rotor w/crack in outer. no other damage found. suspect it was part of the old oil gear pieces that was removed at 4k or as u can see some of the new gear. I did find way too much oil sitting in the the crank. Major sumping and sitting going on. Newest spec pump went in.
