Looks like the rear of the frame was cut off. The "nitrous bottle" looks more like an old fire extinguisher being repurposed as a catch can? The hoses head towards the rear of the bike, not at the carb. | ||

ooh wow, that looks horrible. I wasn't expecting that when I clicked on the link. I believe you're correct, it looks like an old fire extinguisher and I think he's using it as an oil tank, as there doesn't appear to be one hidden under that seat anymore. That thing is gonna get turned into a chopper for sure or at best stripped and sold for parts. I'd love to get my hands on that old gsxr in the background though.
