Has anyone rolled the dice on a Made in India alloy Buell tank? I've seen them for sale for a while now, but I'm skeptical of the quality.

I've actually had mostly good experiences from one of the better sellers, Enfield Country. I have no connection to this company other than being a repeat customer.

I ordered a Norton Commando tank that is an absolute piece of crap and unfit to be on a bike. I also bought a Velocette and BSA tank and am quite pleased.

Just curious if anyone has been tempted by the price and tried one.

The "same" tank is available on eBay.

That looks like it would be worth every penny. It would be stunning on my black S3-T.

Just what "alloy" is it made of? It looks as though it could be polished into a "chrome" finish? That WOULD look great.

Yes, build quality is always the question with ALL this Foreign stuff. Especially with clothing! A Men's size today, may have fit me when I was 12!!

What is the price in American dollars??

Read the reviews on ebay, most people complain about the fitment and that its made from a ton of small pieces welded together and sometimes very questionable. If you search the archive you will find one person here who bought one I believe for his M2, if I recall he was satisfied overall but he wasn't over expecting any show quality tank.

I recall the ones in the UK and they were exquisite. . . . Pure art.

Crap and o.k aint good enough for my buell . ( seen one which i didn't like at all) .

Heard a lot of good things about the tanks from holtworks in the u.k .

Hand made by one guy. True craftsmanship. Very rare to see today, sadly.

While the Holtworks one is outrageously expensive, neither is a quality paint job that may or may not become bubbled in a few years.

I know there is a write up on here about the correct way to do it, but I think I also read about some people following those instructions and the tank bubbled anyways.

I'd easily buy the tank from India, if they made a small one. I dont care for the looks of the manta tank on the S1.
