Hello everyone and hope all is well after Christmas.

I was writing to inform you all of my plans to find an S2 that I've been on the hunt for or at least one close enough to what I'm wanting (I have came to the conclusion that I cannot be as picky as I'd like being that these machines are becoming harder to find in nice condition)

I am looking for a 1995'/With these features or close to:

In 1 of the 3 colors Red Snap, Black Sapphire Pearl, or Caribbean Candy Blue.(I will look at the Yellow depending on the bike)

I would prefer one of the earlier 1B9R frames as well (However I am wanting one made in March being that I was also born in March of '95.) Now if that's possible while still being a 95 model and keeping the 1B9R I am not sure. So I will look at others as well.

I am not picky on the added accessories or items like that. I would like to see the original parts like the carbon air cleaner and the rear mud guard.

Of course having the signature series documents and all adds value and I would prefer that but that is not a deal breaker.

See I am a disabled as well with a left leg amputee and its crucial for me to be able to ride comfortably while allowing me to use the bike as intended and the S2 is just the right fit for me.

I have always loved Buell and from what I have seen the S2 is on a whole other level of quality.

As well as in my search for this bike I plan to add what information I find along the way with you all as well as any S2 that I come across for sale that's not from here I will post the vin/info to hopefully one day get the registry complete and or link someone up with the bike/information they've been looking for.

So thank you for taking the time to read this.

I also have a 2009 Buell 1125R that I may be willing to let go of for the right deal of course. Maybe a trade??

Kind regards,
ScottSpeed

Hope you find it man, these bikes are getting hard to come by, especially if you're looking for a specific one. I ended up compromising a bit on my S1, and had to drive a bit to get it, but still love the thing to death.

Oh wow thank you all for responding so quickly. I didn't expect someone to come up with one so quickly.

Anyhow I may possibly be interested Jerry. Ice White Pearl isn't my choice of color but I may not have the ability to be that picky. Although I have seen some pretty slick ones when done right in white.

It sounds like you got the complete package though. I could imagine that bike is your baby though? It almost sounds like its out of my league honestly!! I'm anxious to see how beautiful it is.

How hard would it be to find another body set versus having one painted? (If its that nice and original I wouldn't dare mess that one up.) Just a thought. Who knows, the white may grow on me. Does it have much pearl in it??

I just recently missed out on one that was close to me that someone had with no title for $1,500 here in southern Missouri.

I don't mind to travel for the right machine one bit though. It makes me happy to see so many people wanting to preserve not just the S2's but a lot of the tube framers and just Buell in general. I have to say that personally being a young guy I glanced right over the S2 at first paying no mind to it. As I got to know the brand and the history I thought why haven't I checked out an S2 before? Then from the first time after seeing those lines on that machine I was SOLD.

They really are a quite special motorcycle in my opinion

I think that S2 is the one that people were talking abut here. Shortly after we started seeing a ton of S2 parts on ebay from that same area. Sad stuff.

White is definitely the best looking S2, but they all look great. S1 is my top pick, but if I was going to pick a 2nd Buell, I think it'd have to be an S2, gorgeous looking bikes.

Really not my baby, I just have too much I try to do, I have a 99 Ducati 996, also a 65 harley Scat with 640 original miles, original paint, and a 62 harley Pacer with 10,000 miles original paint. I also am into serious drag racing, which is another story and money pit in itself.

Drag racing a money pit?! Haha.. the old adage of “how do you make a small fortune Racing?? START with a LARGE fortune! Do tell more about the drag racing, car or bike? sportsman or pro?

Super cool you are the original owner of it, and have so mama parts! Any thought of price on the PM wheels if you sold them on their own?

Well Jerry whenever you feel like getting around to it I would love to talk to you about the bike. It sounds like you have a good taste in motorcycle so I could imagine that its in spectacular shape as well.

WCB I'm not too sure as this bike was sold probably around 2 weeks ago at the most. I wasn't very sure if I even wanted it as a bike with no title in Missouri you can't do anything with, no matter the age. (Legally that is with registration and all)

I was also curious about the very early S1 Lightning's and the similarities that they share with an S2. I am looking at one that was made in March of 96'. It seems that in 96 they still used a lot of nice components that share similarities on the S2. For example like the rear tire hugger was carbon fiber in 96' (I have read before that they painted over the carbon fiber possibly) but plastic in later years OR that they used fiberglass for the body in 96' only plus others.

I feel like after the initial S2 model (94'-96') and then with 96' S1 they were still using most of there higher quality parts they had until the demand had grown enough for it to make sense for them to change to easier produced, more cost effective parts.

If anyone knows more about this specifically please chime in or correct me. I know that they had to change tooling and products to even be able to keep up with the demand starting in 95'

I always run onto that with cars. . . .I’m looking. . . Looking. .. looking and uddenly there it is and I have to decide if I REALLY want it.

I’m looking for a car and a bike at present . . . Keeping my fingers crossed and I always think of it like a dog chasing a car once you catch it. . . Now what?

Next door neighbor scored something called. G700 Brabus last week . . . Out of my league but fun to look at a 900HP SUV. About $850,000 beyond my budget.

I've taken pictures to show what I have. Everything in the pictures is included with the bike(NOT the car or Ducati or little Harleys,OK) The Swing arm stand is also included. Price is $4,000. for everything. If anyone needs additional pictures, let me know and I'll do that. In the pictures are a set of all decals and labels and timer cover plate for the bike. I've also found 7 new oil filters and 1 quart primary case fluid.

The caliper mounting bracket (cast aluminum) has a pin on the front end of the bracket. That pin fits into the steel box, and can slide to acomodate belt adjustment.
Nothing on this bike is modified, other than the Dyna single fire ignition.

The car is a tube chassis with a 92 Beretta
fiberglass body. I built it starting in summer 1990 and finished it january 1992. I had been racing the car in NHRA Super Gas. I got fed-up with the treatment by NHRA in 2010 and began racing locally in 2011 in a class called Top Doorslammer. It's a 1/8 mile class, have to run quicker than 5.80. in average altitude it's runs 5.17 to 5.20. Quickest it's been in good air is 5.09. I enjoy this as no travel all over the southern US. The track is 45 minutes drive from my house. It has a 555 cu.in engine, single carb., but still can get expensive and requires LOTS of maintenance.

Now that’s an immaculate bike!!!! Absolute gorgeous! I wouldn’t doubt it if you said it had zero miles on it! Where are you located? I’m tempted to buy if you are close to me!

Love the background eye candy! Big block Beretta! Super gas or super comp?

WCBR,The Beretta was built by me as a purpose built NHRA Super Gas car. Thankfully, no longer super gas, No towing to tracks all over the southern US.
I live just outside of Baton Rouge La.
Buellbum, Sorry, no youtube videos that I know of...
I got to get the wife to take pictures of the right side of the bike...

One other thing I want to mention, This bike has had only the front fairing stabilizer and front brake line recall done. After seeing how the mechanic did that, they would NEVER again touch my bike. I guess I'm too damn picky!
I did NOT want the rear shock or swingarm recall done. For 2 reasons: I did not want a dealer mechanic touching the bike ever again, and I knew the replacement shock was going to be garbage,(which it was, even the 2 or three fixes after the first fix didn't work. I looked at the swingarm very carefully, and could find NO REASON to change it.

I bet every inch of the Berreta is just as immaculate as the Buell! I totally agree that sometimes it isn’t worth the headache of letting somebody else work on your stuff! Definitely know the headaches that some sanctioning body’s can be, I was that way with road racing in SCCA, so little real track time on race weekends, much more track time and value with HPDE groups! Wish I was closer for a garage tour and to buy that stunning Buell, would look awesome next to my yellow 1996, too bad I’m way out west of you in the San Francisco Bay Area !

Like Ebutch says, DEFINITELY worth the 4k! Jump on buying it Scottspeed!

That is a GORGEOUS S2!!! Probably the cleanest example I have ever seen. Plus having all those extras is very very nice.

The only thing that's holding me up on this is that I wasn't really wanting it in white.

I know some will disagree but thankfully I have my own taste lol It would go in this order:
1st being Snap Red and then almost a close tie between either 2nd being Black Sapphire Pearl or the Caribbean Candy Blue and then Yellow and then White.

So I'm currently weighing my options and seeing what comes available as I doubt I will find very many at this level of condition. However I am also looking to ride it. This bike is so BEAUTIFUL it almost needs to be displayed but we both know that's not what Erik intended it to do.

I'm blown away it still has the factory Dunlop spec tires as well. Looks like it literally just came from the dealer!!

I think its worth every bit of what you're asking though, I'm just trying to decide whether to jump on it or not being that I'm in no immediate rush to make a decision and I would prefer one in one of those other colors as well.

I know that someone ought to appreciate that machine just as much as I do if not more.

I also know that if someone else ends up jumping on this one I definitely want to keep tabs on it as I'm not sure I'll ever come across one as complete as this.

Jerry I'm not sure if you're needing to sell quickly or not but if you're not in a big hurry neither am I. I would like to see what some people have to offer before pulling the trigger.

That bike is a 10/10 IMMACULATE machine. I would be very proud to own one like that.

Scott, I'm not in a real big hurry, the bike sits in the garage covered up. I start & warm it up, once a month along with the Ducati. I don't ride any of the 4 bikes in the garage anymore.

Also selling a fully sorted S2, with a thunderstorm motor from an S3T, and the original motor, and my side plate kickstand conversion... and my fairing bags, and, and, ....
