So I bought a nice painted set of S2 bodywork from a fellow BWB member. I forgot or didn't realize that the turn signal mounting tail has all been cut off. What are my options? Is there something I can buy to have my taillight act as turn signals? Do I need to graft something from my old fender?

I see a few potential options, but they depend on you state codes and inspection non inspection criteria.
In the photo it looks like it still has a small license plate bracket with small sides, you could drill holes and mount turn signals there for some stand-off distance from your license plate, or in the small mesh screen panels in the tail you could set some LED panels as turn signals. Or you could try one of the three in one LED strip lights below your license plate like this..

Some states are critical on vehicle inspection with minimum spacing requirements between signals, others don’t really care or even have inspections... I prefer non inspection states!!!

Another question I would like to ask. Will the self canceling flasher unit work with LED turn signals? Does that unit require the same current draw of an incandescent turn signal bulb to operate properly? Flasher relays do.
Of course the fix is to install resistors with the LED lights. Those are sold as a fix.

FYI concerning LEDs.
For several years now I have bought LED lamps and strips directly from the manufacturer; http://radiantz.com.
They have many pre-built options and will custom make LED strips in several colors. Whatever you need at very good prices.

For LED head & tail lights I have purchase several from; https://www.superbrightleds.com/

They also sell: Brake Light Strobe Module, LED flasher relay, and the load resistors.

Buy two headlights for: S3, S1, M1, $49.95; https://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/miniature -and-subminiature-bulbs/h4-led-fanless-headlight-c onversion-kit-with-internal-drivers-4000-lumensset /5321/11896/

These direct fit in the tail light, running and brake, $15.90; https://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/miniature -and-subminiature-bulbs/1157-led-boat-and-rv-light -bulb-dual-function-28-smd-led-tower-bay15d-retrof it-675-lumens/2400/12749/

Yes David, a small license plate still remains, ahhh so maybe I can fabricate a bracket to attach to it and use all my spare turn signals (the smaller kind) I've gathered. Thank you Peter and Talbert!

I do like the idea of putting the lights in the mesh portion! I'm not good with electrics, but I will certainly try
