On my S1, I still have the stock rotors. The 6 button rattler that I replaced with a Nissin 9 button from a late model bike. However I noticed the rear rotor should probably also be replaced. It seems like the stock rotor is NLA, but used Nissin ones seem still be out there. I was considering just replacing both front and rear rotors with new brake pads to freshen things up. If so, what is the preferred choice? It seems like EBC and Braking seem to be the “go-to” brands. What are y’all’s thought on this? |

From what I remember when I was shopping, EBC and Braking were pretty much the only options I remember. I think there was a bit of a price difference between them too. I ended up with the EBC. It's fine, I think it looks a lot better than the oem rotor. I'm pretty sure it warped within the first couple months of using it, which was annoying because that's the same reason I had to replace the oem rotor when I bought my bike. I haven't heard anything about that being an ongoing issue with the EBC rotors though, so maybe it was something I did. It's not bad enough to feel it under normal riding. I can just feel it if I'm rolling along at 2mph in traffic with my finger barely on the brake. |

Lyndall Gold pads are the best front pads I've used on any bike ever. Have a BrakeTech ductile iron front rotor on my M2. |
