Hey all, new to me 1995 S2 thunderbolt, yellow, 3843 miles, California version with quicksilver carb, 3000085 vin on motor/vin sticker/stamped on head tube, manufacturers build date APR 95 on vin sticker. Looks to be mostly all original and there including the wonky kickstand and the 9 bolt front rotor - turn signals front and rear are not stock, a missing head tube lock key, and a missing upper belt guard— maybe some sharp eyed people can spot more. Just did a quick clean up to take some picks, next to change out dead battery, oil and gas—

So if anyone has stock turn signal and an upper belt guard let me know! Also No signature collectors edition paperwork or plaques, hope they are out there somewhere, would be AWESOME to add to the bike!

excited to add a tube frame to the 06 xb12ss and black full fairing 09 1125r and a white/blue 09 1125r in my little collection! Will get a pict of the 4 as a group in the next couple days!

And a question, I know the key for the ignition and seat were the barrel type, but what was the gas cap and the steering head lock? Were they keyed alike? Seems I have a remade barrel key as well as it’s just raw brass-not chromed. Have a normal small key for the gas cap and no key for the steering lock— they don’t match, but both have number punched in.

Contact your Harley dealer and provide the VIN they should be able to get you a replacement steering lock and key. I did it for mine and it arrived in 30 days, albeit it was like 4 years ago and the parts Guru was on the ball, so your experience may differ.

The barrel lock will pop out with the key when the sliding cover is removed. My replacement lock cam with the little drift pin to remount the cover.

Good Luck!
