So I'm used to the nice thin pegs on my 2000 Millennium X1 and on my 02' M2. Those awful Sportster thick pegs have to go and I'd also like to lower them an inch or so. A fellow owner suggested McKnight pegs but man they are expensive ($164). Today I was at Daytona and demoed the livewire and a Sportster with mid-controls. Both had really nice alloy thin pegs that looked like they could bolt right up to the S2. The Sporty pegs actually had a 1" drop on it's pegs. Any cross matching from other bikes or Sportsters that can help me out? |

I hate those oversized pegs on the S2!! I use the pegs from X1/S3 era bikes, they (for me) are perfect for the S2 |

Hey David, I agree. Is there a 1" drop mount that can be found for them? |

The original “Touring” peg kit dropped the pegs a bit less than an inch. It also included a new shifter plate and shift rod. I have a full kit on #244 and I do like it. That bike is also lower 1” front and rear. Jolly, I’ve got a new kit in the package if you would like to use it for modeling. Kevin |

Hey Kevin, thanks for the information. How did you lower your S2 1" all around? I'm vertically challenged and could use it. If you ever decide to sell that kit I'll take it or I'll wait until David does his creative thing, LOL! |

I actually used those drop pegs from a Sportster on my camp ground scooter a few years back to get more leg room. I cut the rubber off them and just used the metal bar portion of it, ground it down a little bit, cut off some 1" handlebar tube and welded it onto the pegs and then bought two pairs of matching handlebar grips for two glue-on clutch sides. Not very comfy but it matched my grips and lowered the pegs where I needed them. |
