Not quite sure of some of these wires in the pictures.
1st up is this black wire that is going to the positive side of the battery. It's below the dangling black wire with a spade of it (that wire runs up the frame underneath the gas tank, not sure where it ends)

Next up is this broken red wire on the right side of the bike above the starter. Not sure of it's purpose.

The red wire looks like from the cam trigger.

I recently had problems with Buell's method of using crimp connectors on wiring on my S2. I am in the process of cutting the nylon insulation off each connector, soldering and heat shrinking each connector. Some of the connectors had only 1 or 2 strands actually crimped, requiring changing the connector. Found 1 that had been crimped over the wire insulation. How it made connection, I don't know. Some of it is pathetic. I am the original owner, so I know it was done at the factory, or their supplier.

how do you push that pin out so I can repair the red wire. Yeah Jerry, I'm going through the whole bike as I just bought it.

That looks like a Deutch connector, but I could be wrong. They mechanically come apart, I think. If I remember correctly there is a orange colored plastic lock in the middle inside of the plug,(visible after you unplug the connector) That comes out, then you can push out the individual wires. I have a little tool called a pin pusher which I bought years ago from Radio Shack. They are probably available from Digi-Key, but they are wire size specific, be careful what you order if you decide to go that route. From the picture, it looks to me that the red wire is chafed only, not broken may need to just be shrink wrapped only.

After looking at the picture again, it looks like a number of the strands are broken, probably better to replace a section of that wire. On the hanging black wire with the spade connector on the back side of the frame bracket, that little piece of black plastic held on by the nut looks to be a piece of a relay, possibly the starter motor relay, but it's not supposed to be mounted there.

Thanks Jerry, this is what I was handed, appreciate it. I'd like to get everything to were they are supposed to be unless it looks like an improvement. If anyone has clear pictures of theses areas it would be great.
