That thing washed my entire engine out with gasoline, it was dumping so much gas thru that bike. I ran it for a while till I figured out that HD sold me a POS injector, but I still don't know why the carb didn't work on the X1, I plan to build a carbed Buell.

Hello.
You could order this carburetor kit from Germany.
Included are all needed parts.
https://speed-of-color.de/vergaser-kit-mikuni-x1-1 92?c=41
You need to send them your module for modification.

I'm broke I'm not ordering anything. I am livid. I have 2 mikuni carbs sitting in a box, about to go get them, and figure out which one looks better. I just put my 2nd ecm on this X1 and I got NOTHING. Won't even run now. I'm over this fuel injection BS. All kinds of upgrades, but I cant even ride...! Wasted my money on the Buell tooth, because it won't even read 2 ecms now...

Find a module from an M2, get a Sportster coil, intake manifold, and plug wires, and you can get it running.

It ran fine on the carb years ago, with my stock coil. Only thing I haven't found so far is my intake. At this point, I'm so aggravated, IF I don't find it tomorrow, I will be finding some way to plug the injector holes. Honestly @ this point I don't give a crap. I should have time to screw around with it tomorrow. I'm so done with this computer BS on my bike. I have one 27423-98Y carb sitting here. All I have to do is go thru it, and make sure the floats are set right. Anyone have what the stock float setting should be, that would be much appreciated....?!?!

As I posted; http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/476 23/850069.html

* Rubber on the float valve has changed to a harder, (synthetic?), compound. Therefore the manuals instructions to set the bowl height no longer works!
** Manual states to put the carb. at an angle, I recall about 30 degrees, and set the float height. The carb. will leak!
** I have had success for the last several years by setting the base of the carb. level and parallel with the work bench and setting the float to be level with that. the valve now presses a little harder to the seat and will seal reliably.

* No longer do I experience carb. leak into the intake? I wish:
** Alcohol in gas hardens the float valve needle rubber, so this valve will leak again in a few years!!
** Valve will leak sooner if the motor is stored with gas in the carburetor, with the petcock open, for an extended time. All I can figure is that as the volatiles evaporate in the float bowl the bad stuff stays and hardens the rubber.
** Moral of the story is to buy extra valves for replacement every 5 years or so.

* Side note:
** It is unfortunate our motors lean to the left and gas will not run onto the floor, but instead leaks into the intake and dilutes the oil. First indication of a problem is then a full oil tank puking oil all over the back half of the motor.
** AH! You say! But there is a overflow hose at the bottom of the carb. and that can not happen! Au contraire, chances are your 40mm Keihin carb. will not drain out that hose because the tiny pipe in the float bowl is clogged by gas by-products. D'oh!

Thanks for the input, much appreciated. My paper that came with the new float, and needle, says 15-20°. And yes that's the issue I had, no doubt about it. I fixed the F.I. and It worked for a while, but I'm over it. It was doing EXACTLY that flooding the engine with gas. I'll have to try and find a happy median with my float setting. Typically being in Florida, my bike is never stored away, for any lengths of time. And you have to shut the petcock off, when not riding for sure. That's a given. Well I found out today the F.I. intake is a little bigger, so I have to get an intake for carb, since I cant find the one I had....?! That's my next step. My carb is 27423-98Y. It's a done deal, I'm tired of this B.S. I got ****ing plowed, now its back together. I need to ride ASAP, no more computer games for me. It's a done deal...! For those of y'all who enjoy that nonsense, enjoy.
