I bought my first Buell on this date, 25 years ago (June 22, 1994) - which I still have. Being a hoarder (my wife’s description - not mine), I also kept all of the original documents: bill of sale, temporary license plate, warranty registration, factory invoice, and original shipping label from the crate (a plywood box).
Sounds cliche, but it was life-changing event, leading to racing and setting records at Bonneville, traveling to Europe and South America (for Buell/H-D), and a twenty-one year career with Buell/Harley-Davidson.
The best moments have been meeting all the unique people connected to Buell, and memories of riding Buell’s with old and new friends.

And . . .don't forget the very positive impact you had on the world of Buell.

You just made my day!

Congratulations . . . from someone who understands "hoarding"

Yes to all of the above. My favorite Buell story was riding an S2 on a 3 Flags Ride. Up Hwy 191 from Douglas Az to the Canadian Border. No one on the ride thought the "unreliable" Buell would make it. Especially a guy on a Honda ST1300. Of course the Buell made it and he didn't.

I'm still riding Buells and still believe in Erik and the Elves.

All great memories . . . .

B.R.A.G. - I remember when we were forced to change the name from B.O.G. (from the first gathering in Arkansas) to B.R.A.G.

Tat: I remember Tat Marcy calling to inquire about maybe selling Buell parts.

American Sportbike - Got a call from Jay Hawley one day . . shared his excitement about starting a "Buell Owners Club". I suggested he look for another name . . . Lots of good times. I still have the "global Buell Oweners Group) . . . from when Phil, Don and I had filed and protected the name . . . of all the owners . . about the time we all met at the Quonset hut . . it was on a legal pad and less than a page. We held the first owners meeting at my house . . with Erik, wife, kids, Willie G, his wife Nancy and Rich and Ann Teerlink and their daughter Veronica there. . . it rained so all the Buell riders rode to lunch in a Ford Aerostar van . . .

Great times . . .

I feel the term 'hoarder' should only apply to holding on to worthless crap, the original factory invoice for a Buell is not that. Would love to have those for mine. Sadly, I do not : (.

Not only the "1B9" VIN...

But the "2815 Meyer Lane" address...

FREAKIN' SWEET!!!

Congratulations . . . from someone who understands "hoarding"
Please don't change! My comeback is - it isn't hoarding if your stuff is cool!

BTW, I bought my 1995 S2 on 6/6/1995.

And, yes Screamer, I am overdue in contacting you. Even more overdue in contacting Court, if it makes you feel any better...
