I finally wore out my rear tire this week riding to Milwaukee and back. While there beating up on some new Harleys at the drag strip. Beat a new 2019 FXDR 114 12.644 @ 106 to his 12.98@ 100! Then a 2019 CVO Street Glide 117 12.675 @ 107 to his 13.56 @ 98.99. Pretty sad and funny my girlfriend has a 2014 Fatboy Lo with a 103 and she has never raced and ran a 13.49 @ 99.98!
SO what tires is everyone running, just beating around town and some light 1/4 mile fun!

sounds like fun! The last set of tires I bought were bridgestone s20 and I felt they were good for the price. I've also had great luck with dunlop q3's on my other bikes for more of a high performance tire

Dunlop Qualifiers always gave me good grip but short life (3000 mi.). Have given up some grip for tire life with some Shinko Ravens. Hope to get at least double the miles.

I just put some Shinko Raven's on my S1W. I won't be putting a ton of miles on this particular bike so I wanted something really inexpensive and sticky. So far, I really like them and they were crazy cheap!

Michelin still makes the RP2

not a fan of the tread designs on any of the PR tires and have had great luck and confidence in the RP2, so why not continue to use them?

I was under the impression they'd quit making the 2's, once they updated both tread designs (siping) and compound construction (silicone content and tread life).

I'm up to PR4GTs and love the updates. Haven't tried the 5's yet, nothing's worn out : )

I agree PR4GT good tread wear and I run them all the way to the edge with confidence.

I ran Pilot Road 2's and 3's on my BMW RT for years. Best tires I ever put on a bike for balancing all condition traction and longevity. I don't put a lot of miles on my S1 so instead of the PR's I switched to the Pilot Powers......big fan of them as well. I just expect shorter life

I have the Michelin Road 5s on my Triumph Sprint GT and they're really good. They feel like a big step up over the Pilot Road 4s.
That's what I'll put on the X1W when it's new tire time.

I have ran Metzler Z6 tires for years but this year switched to the Michelin Rd 5 and really like them on the S2

I bought an S3 recently with fairly new tires. Tires are Continental Contimotion, they have done everything I've asked from them perfectly. The prices I've seen are on the low side and are available many places. I love mine and won't hesitate to buy another set. I've always raced and loved Metzler tires. I'm running Dunlop Q3's on my 1125R which are good so far. Many posts about tires lasting only 3000 miles, they would be the last time I purchased them as I demand more mileage from mine.

Michelin Pilot Road 3 or 4s. Should get over 10,000 highway miles. I have on two sets so far. Expect up to 15,000 miles if riding in hill country with lots of corners.

Cornering? Well, these tires are dual compound, which means a longer lasting rubber down the center with stickier side tread for cornering. Have not had them slide riding fast through the Sierra Nevada, CA mountains, Highway 88 & 89.
