Hi all, I hope that y’all don’t mind me asking here since past WTB’s yielded nothing. Would any of y’all happen to know where I could find an OEM S1 carbon fiber flyscreen? I have every single other piece ever made; all oem and nib for my new S1W build, however, no luck in my quest to complete the set with just the remaining flyscreen. Not that long ago there were many around and even on eBay from a couple dealers but it appears that the leftovers have all found a new home. Any pointers would be sincerely appreciated. As with anything for these beasts, just a little patience will always turn up the needed parts. |

I have a CF flyscreen, but dont know what model it's for. I have two or three, I'd be willing to part with one Came from Buell factory |

Thanks so much for having a look! As you are standing in front of the bike, the S1 has a dip on the left side. The X1 has a dip on the right side. I’ve attached a photo of my S1

I don't have an extra one, just selfishly using this opportunity to show off my carbon fiber flyscreen for reference

Well you may as well show off the rest of the carbon fiber body that I’m assuming you have on that bike? Let’s see it |

Dunno if I could live without that S1 decal though. Still, beautiful piece of CF. |

Did that swingarm ever come standard on the S1 or is that always an upgrade taken from either a late M2 or an X1? |

Did that swingarm ever come standard on the S1? No. Always an upgrade from the later tubers. |

That bike is so clean it's crazy. You've taken wonderful care of that thing. |

Thanks, i've had this s1w for years and it's been through many iterations. last winter I welded in the frame brace, had the frame and wheels powder coated, body work painted, added the x1 swingarm, rebuilt the penske shock, rebuilt the forks and had the tubes annodized, spiegler brake lines, and polished a bunch of stuff.

Very nice, I can't wait until I get the time, and have a 2nd bike so I can tear mine apart and give it the cleanup it deserves. Do you have any more pictures of that front exhaust mount? I was searching for pictures of one of those forever the other day when I was trying to describe it to someone. For the life of me, I couldn't find any information about them online, even though I know I've seen them before. |

It’s the race exhaust “shoe”. Twin motorcycle reproduces them. |

I think Dean Adams was also reproducing the shoes. I think I have a few if he doesn't. |

ooh now that I take a better look at it, I don't think it's the one I was thinking of. I saw you had the two straps on yours spaced apart, so I thought it was the Maz exhaust brace. Yours has 2 straps because it's the race exhaust and the rear one is just the clamp for the exhaust to the midpipe. This is the one I was thinking you had:

I had the only Carbon Fiber complete S2 Thunderbolt and the factory all Carbon Fiber S1 . . . both were a hoot . . . but I sold both long ago. The S1 was custom built at the factory and was all carbon fiber with Parkway Blue "splash" on it like it had been hit with a water balloon. Old timers will remember this as the Buell Erik rode for the parade lap at Daytona making it the first Buell to circumnavigate the track. The S2 was done by a company, Thunder and Lightning products, as a ""proof of concept" and was pretty wicked looking. But, alas, never went into production. I grew weary of moving the bodywork around the house and sold it on eBay. One of our Badweb folks was here at the undisclosed location last weekend and we dug through boxes and boxes of new factory and prototype stuff from the mid 90's . . . including the prototype S2T bodywork from 1994. Fun stuff. |
