Well, some projects just want to fight you... this is the case with the S2T I’m working on.

I pulled the front wheel to change tires and check bearings. Well, the left bearing is loose and spinning in the hub. I also noticed that it doesn’t look like the previous owner installed the spacer into the speedo unit (at least the manual shows one).

So... what rims will fit the front - all tubers?

Take to metal shop have welded and turned to spec or turned and over sized bearings.

To answer question asked, later wheels are interchangeable...but grey marchesinis are not common...

I’ve got a set of PMs for an S2 I’d let go. 2014 dated shinko tired with good tread. I tried to remove the front rotor, two bolt heads stripped. I planned on taking the dremel and getting them out. I put white marchesinis on mine.

Will - I appreciate the offer, but I have my hands full with projects on this bike, I’d rather find something plug and play. I also have a lead on a set of rims from a M2

Follow up question - for rims from a non S2, let’s say an M2, would the rotors work with my S2’s calipers?

Thanks!

What about the rear rotor? Will the slotted rear rotor work with the Brembo caliper?

Thanks for all of the help!

Kc - I appreciate it, but I already snagged a pair of wheels off of a M2 locally. They had the rotors and drive sprocket and all. Still working on the spacer issue.

Don't toss the original wheel. It's fixable, and rare.

Hootowl - don’t worry, I have no plans on pitching the original wheels.
