Why does Buell have so many different parts numbers? The numbers 16835-98Y and 16826-98Y are Thunderstorm heads the same as my heads but different numbers from my parts book. My parts numbers are 16797-98Y and 16827-98Y and it's the same heads? Very confusing.

The part numbers on any casted Buell part is the casting part number. Once they finish machining the part, painting it, or installing other parts to the casted part to make it work on each model then they give it the final part number. Go by the number in the books not the casted number.
