After 6 Years in storage, my S2 is back on the road. I parked it for the winter in 2012 with the plan to pull it out in the spring.

Then that January, my 13-year-old son passed very unexpectedly. Since that time it sat. I did not feel much like riding.

However, after a firm kick in the butt from my wife and under a threat of her selling it if I did not start riding again (tough love), I pulled it out and started working on it. After days of work on the fuel system, it now runs great again.

It feels good to be back on the road. I am looking forward to a good summer in the wind.

I had to run the carb through my ultrasonic cleaner for 30 minutes with straight clear after lots of scrapping and blowing to get it clean. The bike is still pretty dirty and I have some items that need fixing but it is running well. Still, plenty to do and I am sure I will be posting with questions soon.

The Bike was a real mess when I started

What a great looking bike! I'd love to have one of those sitting in the corner of my garage, even if I didn't get to ride it. Glad you got it back on the road and it's running well. Sorry to hear about your son.

I should have said this is my brother in laws S1. The last owner bought it new, took it home, cut it up and built a full-on track bike. It had never seen the road until Mike bought it a few years ago. All he did was put lights back on, some baffles in the exhaust, put the charging system back and bolted a license plate to its butt.

It is a grouchy twitchy SOB but MAN is it quick.

looks great! I would've assumed it was just a track bike, but that tank bag caught my eye so I figured there was more to it than that.
