You could always put taller bars on

I think the seat is just making the bar thing worse.

It isn't a good idea to fit an oversized tyre to your rim, the bike won't handle as well nor will it make the contact patch any bigger

Depends on the bike, I'd say. It steers a lot more neutrally with a 190/50. Most 180's end up with a really flat profile, and the bike will tend to fall over leaning in, but the center lasts a bit longer.

The chassis is set up a lot different than stock.

I noticed that (flat profile) with the 180 on the x1. is this what is referred to as the chicken strip?

The chicken strip is that strip at the edge of your tire that has a slight gloss to it because it's never touched the road. The less you lean your bike, the wider the strip, making you more of a "chicken". Very important to your self worth when you're 20 and have a gsxr haha.

No_sprk: Do you squeeze the tank with your knees? That's an important part of surviving on a sportbike with low clipon bars. You have to squeeze the tank with your knees and support your upper body with your core muscles, instead of letting that weight go on your arms, which translates into wrist pain and numb hands. These bikes aren't as drastic since you're sitting up a lot more, but that also makes it easy to forget. Make a point to actively squeeze the bike with your legs and try to hold yourself up without your arms, and see if they feel any better after a few rides.

It is paramount that with any bike you set it up to fit you!
