My tranny didn't like running dry coming back from Laguna Seca a couple years ago. When I trashed the tranny, I thought the wobbling output shaft oil seal could be re-seated using some clever JB Weld.

It almost worked. Always leaks a bit.

It's time to replace the right case half - get it done right.

There's a 1999 right case half on ebay but I'm not able to find out whether it's a direct replacement for my 2003.

Anybody know??? Not a bad price.

Help?

Thought cases were matched together--and cannot just replace a side. Know it is the "case" with my Busas.

I'm going to pull it and send to Dahmer (Darkhorse Crankworks) to have it LEGITIMATELY repaired - welded and the oil seat machined-in. Other than the things that I DO WRONG - the bike has treated me well since 03.

Thanks for the sanity test - and answers.

You should also check with Advance Cycle Machining. We us they for repairs we cant do in house. Yes it shows HD's on the home page but we've have sent them Buell jobs without any issues.

Great work at a good price.
