i'm looking for a run/turn/brake module for my 2000 Cyclone. that small brake light isn't enough for the morons behind me. anyone know if they make one or if a sportster module will fit? |

Chances are, nothing HD will work because 1. HDs use a two-button signal setup and 2. they have distance-sense self-cancel. Best bet is to find something universal-fit for a metric bike, since they share the left-thumb-both-signals button setup. |

Yup. Model year 2000 Buells do not use modules, just a simple flasher and a single push-to-cancel turn signal actuation switch. |

Or build something. On my S2, I took the main LED board out of a broken-lens Ulysses taillight and added (2) 3-LED cards out of a Federal Signal emergency light:
I wired each of the 3-LED cards to a Federal Signal LED flasher unit, set for a 5 flash per second wig-wag (side to side). The 3-LED cards only power up with brakes:
That photo shows one lit; at 5 FPS, it is an attention-getter! |

I'm aware the M2 light is smaller, but you can still do a similar setup either putting a card in each signal housing along with the regular bulb, or just using smaller pieces than I used in the roomy S2's light. My S1 (same light as your M2) uses an LED light strip for taillight, and I put a third 3-LED card in there for brakes, wired to a single flasher set for 10 FPS. It doesn't flash so much as vibrate, and definitely is noticeable. LEDs are small; flashers are simple; all of the parts are easily accessible. Get creative. |
