Rex has some thread title difficulties. He asks if there are still S2 Rallies. Here is the answer: Last one was in Colorado in 2015(?). Turned out to be mostly S2 owners who rode a different bike there or former owners and attendees from previous rallies. A great bunch and a good time was had by all. I think we were the only ones to bring an S2, IIRC. We might attend another if someone put one on but our summer is getting pretty booked up for this year. Maybe. Eric, We met at the 2015 S2 Rally. We're planning to host a S2 based Buell event in 2019, in the SD Black Hills (Iron Mountain Road and a "Garage Night" or two). We might be able to pull it up to the fall of 2018 if there are no other S2 events this year - depends mostly on the progress of the new shop. | ||

Any interest to an S2 Rally this summer (2018) more centrally located like Eureka Springs, AR area in the Ozarks? "Rally" might be a bit optimistic....maybe simply a "gathering"? | ||

I could always offer up some garage space, driveway space, and camping / BBQ space for a MD gathering...if there were enough of us on the east coast. Court? Drag the ol' historic S2 out of the garage and drag it's 114hp down to Maryland!! | ||

Jolly, I am just up the road from you in central MO. I would be very interested and would also be willing to host a day or 2 at my place if desired. I have 5 acres so plenty of room for camping. And my lovely wife Cil works at a motel chain 19 miles away so she could easily set up a group rate there if needed. (Message edited by buelliedan on January 19, 2018) | ||

Since the big “Rally” is currently being discussed for ‘19,should we really start looking at a potential getogether(?) this summer? Dan has offered up some space, there is some good riding in the Ozarks.... and a chance for those in the Midwest that can’t make the Coastal gatherings due to distance ..... I say “gathering” as I simply can’t host or lead, I just moved here and don’t really know the area, only been on one bike trip to the Ozarks, but it is GREAT RIDING!!!..... It would be great to meet some other S2 folks! But my intention is NOT to impede on anything already in the works.... it’s just an idea since nothing solid discussed this year.... | ||

If folks want to plan a "gathering" at my place this summer I am more than happy to be the host. I have plenty of room for camping and yes the roads around here are awesome! It is hard to find a straight for more than a quarter mile. | ||

An observation & rambling thoughts: US Buell events in general don't draw a lot of participants unlike the old days. And there's a lot of new Buellers running around the world outside of BadWeb. Not to poo-poo an S2 Rally ... but does it make more sense to focus on "Buell Nation" vs S2s? With that said, maybe it just means "S2 Thunderbolt 2018" is the Buell Nation Rally in Location X. While "S1W 2018" might mean Buell National Rally East Troy. DAve | ||

June is a great time of year in the Midwest, July gets... HOT!!!!! I like June, with my flying schedule time is unpredictable at best, but I think June should be a “target” Buell Nation: focused on S2s... bring any Buell out of the garage???? Let the new guys meet the old guys, and some radical S2s!!???? You only have to see one to fall in love with the S2! | ||

There are many hotels in St Robert, MO which is 20 miles away. But stay away from the Holiday Inn and Studio Z as they are a bunch of thieves! | ||
