Hillman hardware is good too for the "brass nut in the rubber". Seems I cannot remember what they are called!

Home Depot has them too.

They are used, for instance, to keep your rear fender in place.

Take a careful look at the well nuts you purchase. The hillman at lowes I purchased had the right size nut and shank, but the lip/head of the well nut was 1/4" thick vs the 1/8" thick that come on the bike. I went down to Ace Hardware and they had the correct well nuts but about twice as much $$.
