Anyone have a number for this?
I can't find it.

Thanks

Torque-to-grunt.

Should have a nylon washer. Snug it. If it leaks...give it a little more. No sense stripping an unobtanium tank.

Exactly what I'm trying to avoid.

If you use a 1/4" ratchet with very little leverage, and don't torque angry...you'll be fine.

I just did that, and I can't remember the number, but I'm pretty sure it was something under 10ft lb. I didn't pull out the in/lb torque wrench before I started, and I remember the number was so low on the ft/lb wrench that I just gave it the slightest twist and called it a day.

I'd add blue Loctite to the mix, and do as Joe said...snug it, and if it doesn't leak, leave it alone.

Hmmm....

The only concern I have about threadlockers on drain plugs is their interaction with the contained fluid.

Lubricant plus sticky stuff....

It has a nylon washer for a reason. Thread it in dry.

I use plastic sealing washer: https://www.mcmaster.com/#96371A207
It is so supple that you cannot strip thread practically. And it seals perfectly.

That's a bit silly. Thread sealer will not migrate into the oil once set. It will, however, prevent the snugged-but-not-tight plug from vibrating out while you're riding. I use it on everything except well nuts. (I only did that once. May as well have been a rivet after that.)
