Am I the only one who has negative battery cable broken for no reason? Luckily, it is slightly uphill up to 1 mile from home and it started sputtering at the very top. It was about to die and I immediately turned back at the top, barely gliding to home. It is not part of the safety recall 0811 but at least the part number is the same(70461-67B). My S2 is one of the very earliest productions(built in Mar/94, no typo here IIRC), last four digits are 3051(even VIN system is different, IIRC, it starts with something like ..BR...) |

One part broke every day... Sometimes, more than two broke... (Message edited by s2forever on May 11, 2017) |

Do you have stock cables or the later ones? Don Casto's S2 info:

Stock one(70461-67B). But part book shows different number. I guess they used this problematic part on very early production S2, and shortly thereafter changed to the part which part book shows. I will load a pic later this weekend. |

Thunderbolts are great scooters but you must keep a wrench on them. T |

Broken cable connector:
Mine broke at 25 k miles. Check yours and replace it if it's 70461-67B. (Message edited by s2forever on May 15, 2017) |
