The seals behind the drive/front pulley may be leaking, (not sure yet, could be something under the cam cover). Are any special tools needed to remove the old ones and install new ones? Thanks | ||

They have tools to install the main drive seal but you can use a monster socket to install it also. The easiest way to remove it is to drill a small hole in the face of the seals being care not to hit the bearing. Install a sheet metal screw being careful not to hit the bearing and pull on the screw pulling the seal out. After the seal is removed clean the area making sure there isn't any shavings from drilling. Before installing a new seal make sure you don't have any movement in the bearing. We see the seals leak do to bad bearing allowing 5th main to move around. | ||

Thanks, which leads to another question of course. Which bearing? The big ball bearing , or the small needle bearing tends to move? And what's the fix if it has moved? (Message edited by johnod on April 28, 2017) | ||

There shouldn't be any movement, they are a press fit on 5th main and in the case. |
