I bought the shock for $513 shipped and I am very satisfied with the performance. This shock doesn't have the remote reservoir and does not have compression damping adjustment. It does have rebound adjust and shock made a big difference . The overall setup including spring rate/compression/rebound damping are good. My old recall shock was very stiff and overall ride feel was not good. The Twincycle build quality of the shock is very good. The shock took about 10 days for delivery from the Netherlands to Tucson AZ.

I have one on my S1. Overall a nice performing unit for everyday road conditions. Swap it for a Penske for track days though...

That's an extremely good looking shock, and the price is much better than other options! Luckily for me my original shock is still hanging in there, but when I eventually need to replace mine, this looks like the way to go.

How did you get it that cheap? Im showing 499 Euro for the shock, 89 Euro shipping, so 588 Euro is about $630 according to google.

I rechecked the cost of the shock and it was €499 for the shock plus €40 shipping to Tucson AZ which totals €539. With the exchange rate at the time the total was $545.The $80 shipping quoted to you seems high to me but it may depend on where you live.

Seems like I'd be closer in SC on the east coast. Odd.

On the rear shock issue, Is the white power shock reliable? I may look for one just for the original look for my S2. One went on eBay last month for about $120. I know race tech can rebuild them, just not sure if it's worth the money and effort.

Maybe I could buy the twin cycles and disassemble it and powder coat the spring and strip/polish the bits to "emulate" the looks of a WP shock?

The twin cycle shock spring can be removed and powder coated white but the rest of the aluminum components are anodized a satin black color. Not sure what you could do there.
I think the TC shock looks pretty good as is.

PS the TC shock also has a length adjustment and includes a wrench to set shock spring pre load.

Nothing wrong with the WP shock I ran one that was actually off one of the race bikes and was rebuilt.

Kc_zombie , have you compared lap times between the two shocks at the race track?
And is the weight different or the same between the two?
I'm just trying to learn. i blew the stock shock on my M2 on a long run about four years back, got a NOS M2L and it felt like an improvement over the original. but it feel's like my front end is too harsh, the roads i use are bumpy so i feel it a lot. i'm thinking about, getting a pro here in Australia to custom set up stock M2 forks, he stocks race tech & he custom set up a Dyna twin cam for me using race tech shocks and he did stock forks i was very happy as road that & drag raced was a huge improvement on that bike but the M2 a better handling bike by a long way. just would like to improve the ride.
