Racetech springs, who's instructions I have lost, come with a piece of aluminum tubing to create a spacer. The springs are about 2" shorter than the stock springs. And heavier, of course, which is the point of the exercise. Do I just cut the spacer to make the spring-plus-spacer add up to the same length as the stock springs? That doesn't take into account the added spring pressure. It seems as if trial and error of installing and measuring sag is the only logical way to get it right.
Edit: Found the instructions, which say that if you have upside-down forks, no spacer is needed. But one obviously is.

Why don't you ask Racetech about that?

You're right. Go to the source. They say, yes, just make a spacer for the extra length.
