I saw mention of a "build sheet" for a specific VIN by Court, I believe, awhile back. Seems it gave the dealers name to whom the bike was being sent to. My question is does anyone know what other information would be on this sheet? I know who the dealer is on my S-2, since I bought my bike new, I but I am curious as to what other information might be there? |

651Lance sent me my build sheet. It's really more of a delivery sheet. Here's a screenshot of the one on my s2.

That's a bit different than the Buell document, used by Buell internally...which is likely what Court was referring to... I'm sure Court will come by and clarify, but the following info was recorded: - powertrain number (from HD) - full VIN - motor number (partial VIN by Buell) - tire numbers - lock numbers - bodywork color - frame color (if multiple options were available) - any special notes, including such mundane to owner information as first bike to use new whatever, first bolts from lot ABC-XYZ - dealer # who purchased bike - date started - date completed Court can cover the rest, I'm on vacation! 1313 |

That's a good summary. I posted a screenshot once but I think Brankin has it nailed there They were, at that time, the darn biggest Excel spreadsheets you could imagine. The fun part was reading the "exceptions" column where running design changes were note along with the names of "specials" and some of the one off interesting bikes. I just moved everything Buell related to the big new barn and am finding all sorts of things. |

I figured the internal Buell sheets wouldn't be available. Maybe HD has it somewhere on a 386 intel with stacks of floppy disks lol |

They are all safe . . . . copied onto hard drives and two large shipping containers worth of floppies . . . ZIP disks and collected old Buell laptop hard drives right here in the barn. What started in a barn . . . . .

That . . by the way . . was the first "commercial" S1 White Lightning that went to Ron Mundt in Tech Pubs to write a Service Manual. |

Very nice. Glad to know it's safe. I'd like to have that info on my S2 and S3. |
