I could use a measurement fron a stock S1 ir X1 Following the plane of the fork ground to the top if the upper dust cap of the triple. I want to make sure my rake is set. | ||

Sorry this took so long, hectic weekend. Measurements as best as I could get them... Ground to the bottom of the lower triple: approximately 28-3/8"9(measured vertically, not along the angle of the fork, and measured to the bottom of the triple at the very outside left edge of the fork leg/triple) Ground to the middle of the rear iso pocket: approximately 15-1/2" Center iso pocket to center of rear axle: approximately 16" with rear axle near the center of adjustment slots Center front axle to center rear axle: approximately 55-1/4" The last 3 measurements aren't perfect because there wasn't a straight line between the things I was measuring, whether it was the exhaust, engine cases, or passenger peg mounts getting in the way. Hopefully they can help when you compare them to the ones you already have. I can try to get the last measurement you were looking for. Not sure which part of the triple you're considering the upper dust cap of the triple though. Always loved toyotas, had a tacoma for a while, replaced it with a tundra about a year ago after my daughter outgrew the back seat of the taco. Tundra is a bit much, but we planned on having more kids so we had to get something with some back seat space. | ||

I got 38-1/4, with a gap of about 1/4" between the ruler and the back of the fork leg. | ||

You sure that would be almost 2" and above the top of the fork for me? | ||

I just did a front end conversion using the Engineering velocity Stem and im getting 37" measurement from the top of the bearing cap to the ground measured like you did and my bike is pretty stable to over 145mph. | ||

I'll gladly double check it for you tonight. There's obviously a lot of room for error when you're trying to balance a bike with one hand, standing on the side and trying to get down to eyelevel with the dust cap. 2 inches is a pretty big difference though. | ||

I double checked and I'm definitely getting 38-1/4" with the ruler pressed up against the back of the triple clamps. I've only had the bike about 6 months though and don't know its history, so maybe someone else can offer up some measurements. | ||

Been riding and adusting. The more I work at the suspension the more I am thinking its the back tire skipping.not the front. I also every once in a while right on lauch get what feels like the belt skipping but the belt is not skipping. Any thoughts? | ||

Is that the only time you ever feel it? is it hard acceleration or just when you're pulling away from a stop sign normally? Any chance it's a clutch/transmission issue with something slipping internally? | ||

I only feel the part that feels like a belt jump off of a dead stop and part of the time and its not under heavy throttle. The hopping feeling happens in 1st through 4th on the low end rpm under somewhat heavy acceleration. It it will plane out as the roms go up. If I drive like a gradma I can avoid it | ||

So went to drive to Blumz to work on the suspension and done dead battery like gone 100 percent. This is a lithium earth x. Just wanted to say they stood up to their warrenty have another even stronger battery on its way just had to pay the upgrade between the two batteries which is fair and it is priority be here by thursday. Nice to see companies step up and back what they sell | ||

Is there any one out there that can tell me the angle the bike sits while on the kickstand and how far out the bottom of the kickstand is from the frame when out? | ||

Just catching up on the thread Ken and no worries your all good. Yes Engineered Velocity is me and my brother. We design small batches of parts for our bikes and then sell them later on as a product. Two guys in a garage with a hobby. K12pilot had the same issue with the belt skipping teeth under hard accel. But he didn't do the XB rear swingarm like you did. But he was puzzled like you are and tore into the primary and finally figured out the belt was just too long. | ||

It could be belt skipping I just need to get with someone to watch as it happens maybe video it. I have tried several times to get with Blumz but weather has not coperated. The more I ride the more I think it is coming from the back end not the front | ||

Jolly helped me figure this out. After SEVERAL attempts to resolve it. I thought it was the clutch for sure, took it apart more than a couple times... Mark the belt & pulley(s) w a crayon, Ride it, recreate the issue, raise the rear wheel & see if the marks line up again. They should, if not... the belt is skipping. Dave has told me to pick the low hanging fruit several times... I have learned to listen to him the first time  (Message edited by k12pilot on October 13, 2016) | ||

Sorry I missed this the first time. That symptom is pretty common, and it is generally worn dogs on the gear pair. It will do it only once after a shift. I had this on my M2 (2nd gear). Replaced the gear pair, and it fixed it. Later, I though it came back on a ride to work, but when I got there and looked, the center rubber of the tire was gone and threads were showing. OK, it was worn, but I didn't think it was THAT worn. Replaced the tire, and fixed that. So check the belt with chalk/crayon, that's easy, but it's probably gear dogs. | ||

THANK YOU K12!!!! Yes belt is skipping. 139 tooth so now I need to get a smaller belt 138 I believe does not exist but we will see. Most look for hd belts but these belts are also used on industrial machines and many other items! | ||

Had some time today put the stock xn 65T on but the belt will not fit even without the tensioner so time to look for a 137 tooth belt anyone got one Ibcould try? |
