The parts suffix ".T" signifies that the part was launched on the Blast!

This takes care of half the battle, but doesn't address compatibility with other models. Like the rear brake pads specified for my '08 XB12XT are ".T"

If you don't have parts books (which will only give the part number that your model of bike was originally built with) to research, it's at that point that a knowledgeable parts sales professional becomes invaluable...

This is a clutch lever for the Blast )it,s the same as for the XB
http://www.twinmotorcycles.nl/webshop/artikel.asp? guid=YXHFSC&mc=1&aid=1245

And this is for a 98 S1
http://www.twinmotorcycles.nl/webshop/artikel.asp? guid=YXHFSC&mc=1&aid=3959

They have a different number ,but are so good as the same lever.

I compared some 04 xb levers side by side some S1 levers and the clutch levers look almost the same ,only the brake lever is a bit different at were it presses on the mc plunger.

Did not test fit them ,but will have a look at that this afternoon.

If it's on the internet, it must be true.

In this case it is not.

The ".02A8" signifies the part was launched with the first XB - the XB9R.

The Blast! came from the factory with a reduced reach clutch lever, which explains why it has a unique ".T" part number.

Will a Blast! clutch lever work on an XB? On a tuber? Let me put it this way. What do you get when you cross an Elephant with a Rhinoceros? Hell if I know! But saying a Blast! clutch lever is the same as an XB clutch lever is patently false.

Suddenly I'm $0.02 short...

Let me put it this way
I put my S1 brake lever on my xb brake. Seamed fine till I was doing 40 and my brake locked up. It put a very small bit of oressure in the cylinder causing the pads to ride too close which caused heat it all expanded and almost sent me on a trip!

The parts book show this lever replaces C0150.T and fit Blast models.

The clutch lever for the Tubers is N0102.9 and N1102.9 replacing N1102.6AA.

The XB clutch levers are:
N1102.02A8 replaces N0102.02A8 & N1102.T
N1102.1AJ

If I might have missed one or two sorry.

Well ,I compared the clutch lever from my 04 xb with one from a S1 and they are the same and both fit in the handle bar bracket.
(even have the same letter stampings on them)

The brake lever is as S1owner wrote not the same!

The numbers that are casted into the parts are a cast number not the end part number. After the casting is done they machine the part to the end spec for the part number. Yes some of the parts my inter change but the throw of the cable my be different.
