As the title states, im looking for the little bushing that is pressed into the exhaust hanger. I have started another thread about rebuilding mine and everything is done except for that bushing. I have the Race exhaust. Does anyone know where i can find one?

I've never heard of them being available without buying the complete hanger. I've seen a thread on here before where someone made them by pouring urethane into a mold. I have not been in need of one; however, I've thought that maybe (without having measured) one of those bushing from skateboard trucks might work. Drill out center to size, a steel or brass sleeve in the center. I have also wondered about those bushing used in 4-wheel drive front end parts. Surely there is something out there the right size.

Which hanger? I imagine old style.
American Sport Bike used to sell a replacement bushing more dense & durable than the original.

Short of running that down, the newer Y hanger is superior & available for about $120.

I machined an aluminum bushing ten years ago for my S2 and it is still there with no movement. So far it has been good for 60,000 miles. I cannot understand why they would put a rubber bushing there in the first place after all the pipes are bolted solid to the heads and the rear muffler mount so why not make this mount solid also?

No there NOT !!!!!!!!

Rubber isolates engine and exhaust from the rider = less Vibes.

I know I have at least one brand new set. They came in a swingarm recall kit I bought off eBay.

I have no need for them, but must get home before I can do anything about them...

Whatever you find that will fit, you have to remember that the material has to absorb the energy not store and release it.

I made that mistake when mine fell apart a good number of years ago. It was rubber and it fit but it stored and released the energy like a perfect spring.
Muffler shook like crazy and stressed the rest of the exhaust components.

Just get the Y hanger thing. It's better in every way.

I did this upgrade recently, new Y hanger kit and new bracket for the race header from twinmotorcycles.nl .

Both are stronger than the original.
