Posted this on the Facebook Tuber page as well.

Problems with Swingarm Pivot Bolts

After replacing the isolators I can't seem to line up the pivot with the frame in order to install the end bolts. The fit has to be exact and the only way I can see of getting it to align is dropping the front of the motor and using the hoist and engine jack to line things up. Anybody have experience with installing those bolts? Already wasted a few hours trying to figure it out. I think part of my problem is I didn't use a front wheel chock so the frame/front wheel move around instead of the frame just pivoting.

Not sure how you have the bike supported but I had my front wheel in a chock, the rear peps flipped and supported by jack-stands, and a jack under the rear shock support. If I remember correct, I did have to "jack" with it a bit and it was a bit frustrating but didn't take hours. Due to the fine threads the alignment is not only fore and aft, up and down, but you may need to grab the swing arm and tilt it a little one side or the other. I do remember I could have used another me during that process.

Good luck and don't drop your bike.

Thanks guys. I installed the rear wheel. I'm going to wheel it over to the lift, get the front wheel in a chock, hoist it again and mess with adjusting the motor position... tomorrow :-\

I think I removed the bolt connecting the shock to the swing arm. Don't recall having any problems getting the bolts in with either belt / isolator change. 2001 S3T.
