Clutch lever was squeaking,so I pulled the pivot bolt to lube it. However, I neglected to remove the jam nut and snapped the bolt in two. Does anyone know if it cross references to a Harley part number? My local HD dealer is not a Buell service center and can't cross reference. I also drive past a Kawasaki dealer on the way to HD. I'm sure they would have something that would work, but they might not want to match it manually.

The pivot bolt will not cross over to a HD pivot bolt.

KAwasaki parts are at times interchangeable.

Buellistic refered us to them numerous times for adjustable levers. Maybe someone saved that data here? Or in the knowledge vault...

if not I'll search my archived emails, I may have it, but am uncertain.

...or just take the bolt to your nearest yamhondakawizuki shop and tell them its a kawasaki so they don't get scared when you drop the "B" word

I read through those old posts. They did mention the certain levers would interchange, but no mention of the bolt. I stopped by the Kawasaki dealer, and then the Honda dealer, hoping they could match it up. No luck. I ended up at a cycle salvage yard, digging through a pile of assorted pivot bolts. I ended up finding a close (enough) match. So it worked out, had a good morning ride, and I got to play around in a junkyard. Did I mention I love junkyards? Guy that ran it was cool. Old school biker. He checked out my 78 KZ1000 and told me about the ones he owned back in the day. I figure if I'm going to ride old bikes, I need a spare for when ones down.

Those Kawasaki lever part numbers are in LaFayette profile along with some other good info.
