Ok, I'm looking for help to make sure I'm headed in the right direction. Here's the situation:

Turn key to start bike. Hear a pop. Flick switch to run and start bike up. Runs no problem but the tach is not working, along with the oil light and neutral indicator. Turn bike off take key out.

Check the wiring diagram and see the tach, oil light, and neutral light are all on one fuse. Check the fuse and it's broken. Pull it out and don't replace it.

Pull the tach. Get out my multimeter and check for continuity. There IS continuity between the orange wire and the black ground.

So it my assumption that the orange wire is grounding out somewhere which is causing the fuse to blow.

Is this right? I am by no means an electrition...
