Ok so I have dismantelrd and reworked my harness for my custom more then anyone would enjoy. I am to a point were to keep things clean I would really like to make a complete new harness from scratch. I am looking for knowledge, parts links, tupes of wires etc anything anyone has. If anyone has ever used the M lock system etc would really like to get someone that sees all this as simple

i was thinking of trying out the M-unit and M-button. Seems to clean things up a bunch. What i would really like to do but not sure if i can is us 2 M-buttons, one located in each switch housing im making. This way I only need 2 wires to run through my handlebars to operate all my buttons.

Yea you know exactly where I am trying to get to!!
The two things that keep me awake are wires and lucense plates! You do all this work and it gets messed up with both of them!!!!

I'm sold on the M-unit by motogadget. This is what I'll be saving up for. It eliminates the fuse panel too and can clean a lot up. Simple buttons wired through the bars. I'd put the unit under the tank? Or move it to under the seat?

S1owner, it seems you're keeping the regulator in the stock location? Have you thought about moving it? Also, what about the distributer. Seems really bulky and could also be in a better place. The horn too with something smaller...

Mmm, so much to think about.

Thought about up under the rear tail but I have so much there right now. If I could reduce all that electrical I could move it there facing down so it gets plenty of air flow. But it is also a lot more splicing and wiring. I want to use all new wires new everything except the brain and regulator. Not sure what you mean by distributer? My horn is tucked up under the tank can't be seen

Under the seat is where it all sits now but all this accept the brain could be eliminated with the M unit.

The thing with the m Unit is you have to mount it a certain way in order to benefit from its built in alarm system. Revival cycles has a youtube channel all about installation, really detailed; in the end it's what sold me on using it for my build along with a boat load of other Motogadget stuff.

I guess I mean the thing the spark plugs plug into? What is that called then? I don't know anything...

Second that on Revival Cycles. They have some good videos. I should be at their Custom Build show during Moto GP.

So did you just move the stock horn then? Any pics? I'd love to see how you did it. I also admire your sub frame setup. Inspirational. : ]

Ahh The coil. Dont really want to make the plug wires longer you want them short.
The horn is an XB horn so it is a little different. I will get a pic of it for you tonight

And love those vids!
