It's time!

My beloved M2 (well most of it) accompanied me to the New World & now it's time to breathe life back into it.

I've got everything from the M2 except the frame in a big crate in my garage.
A friend in Chicago has offered me a M2 frame with clear US title, but the problems getting it into Canada as a bare frame & then getting it registered in Quebec are more than I care to deal with at the moment.

So does anyone have, or know of, a tuber frame with Canadian papers going cheapish, or alternatively a bike with blown motor.
A '99-'02 M2 or S3 frame would be ideal but anything considered.

Cheers All.

If you hate Buells so much why are you still following this site?
I actually dont think you hate them I think you are jealous because you did not have a good ezpierience and the rest if us have! Maybe because you did not understand them or how to take care of them. Or maybe just because you are that type of depressing glass half empty person.

Mr Grumpy, I've brought complete bikes into Ontario, it's not too difficult.
Have you tried?
Are frames different, or is it Quebec?

Not tried, but all my internet research says that since last year vehicle export from US has to be pre-announced by shipping agent & go through inspection at departure, then vehicle has to be inspected at import in Canada within 45 days for registration or something.
I've also got enough on my plate with the immigration service & the divorce, at the moment, hence the desire for Canadian papers.

Alf, get a grip.

If bike is more than 15? years old no inspection in Canada. The shipping preannounced thing can be done for you by an agent for about $60 fee.

Immigration and divorce I have no input. : )

Anyone would think I caused your dilemma.
Good luck with it all anyway.
M2 might be jinxed.

Alfau, where in Australia are you from mate?
myself NSW, i know nothing perfect but i would fix things to improve & so don't happen twice. i have a M2 i got second hand number of years back as when they were new i got to test ride one of Morgan & waker demonstrators, it had the US gearing the Race pipe carbon race air cleaner & lightning ignition module and was rejetted to run nicely, people here told me that the international M2 had like Andrews N4 cams but SE. well all i could say was i just loved it as i'm a rider.
i wanted one but had just bought a new twin Cam HD. then years latter saw my M2 on Ebay and got it at great price. had 70,000k up i found rear wheel bearings had movement so put new in made spacer to get right end play, then saw front engine mount had one bolt holding it up the other bolt head had broke off, i got the broke bolt out ok got new bolts got billet engine mount, fitted new front rubber mount put stenzil bar on, then out in middle of the bush 20k from Bathurst NSW it stopped new AGM battery failure, i sorted the problem out tested regulator & alt output alt was putting out 19volt so new regulator new AGM battery. also as i already had a Woods 43.5 Reble carb ( CV44 modified ) and i had a new S&S Shorty G manifold laying around fitted that and dynode on a friends DJ250i just to check & jetting looked to be right , i do the servicing myself as seems very simple to me. well i've had trouble free riding since ridden it interstate have drag raced it, and i had another great ride on it today.
a bike is only as good as the person that services it.
also i had the stock shock go south once but got a new old stock shock from lance.
what was your experiences?
cheers

Alf, a careful observer would recognize that there was nothing wrong with his M2, other than that he couldn't import it to Canada. Hence the big box of parts and the search for a Canadian frame. The vast majority of Buell owners do not share your loathing for the brand, and have had generally good experiences. Go peddle your vitriol elsewhere.

Alfau, one would think the logical thing to do if you don't like a particular marque, is sell it and move on.
Why hang about forums for a brand you don't like.
That's just weird.
