Here is a pic of the Banke on my red S2. The brace I made has the same mounting specs. If I get time I will mount the brace I made on the S2 for visual. |

I have one of the original Banke ones and don't remember quite why but it wouldn't mount on my S2. |

I open my mouth and look what happens. LOL My S1 and S3 each need one so let's get some prices for a group buy. I'm sure the more we get order, the more we save. |

i thought that the s2 frame was thicker tubing and has little flex compared to the later tubers. have one on my s1's, though. tim |

I have a banke. Have had it off and on my s2, don't feel any difference whatsoever. I should fit it to my S1 sometime... |

The brace I have did fit my frame, as I have seen previously mentioned maybe it was just an issue at the front mount. I had also read about not helping much with the S2 and never did anything more with it. Purpony, PM'd |

Ok I just talked to Gary. He can do it but needs a couple week lead time once we get the numbers together. So lets get a list going first and see how many we can get. Jefc73 - 3 (couple extra for stragglers) Damnut - 2 Blackm2 - 1 BrentX1 - 1 Oopezoo - 1 Johnod - 1 NewmanS3 - 1 Roderick - 1 Ebutch -1 Red93stang -1 (Message edited by jefc73 on January 06, 2016) (Message edited by jefc73 on January 07, 2016) |

Have to get back with him on the cost. Shouldn't be much different unless the cost of material went way up. Again like last time I will not be making anything off of these so the cost of making plus stainless bolts/nuts and shipping is all that will be in the end cost. Hoping to keep it at the $130 price as last time. Will post on here the final cost when everything is put together. Stay tuned Also these were done in two finishes. Polished and unpolished. |

I say we get prices from a few sources. I wouldn't mind hearing from Purpony to see what he could do. I've been a fan of his work for a while and he's a BadWebber. |

Go for it if that's what you want to do but Iam not going to do all the ground work, and its a lot, if there is no commitment. |

I don't want to sound like a dick but that's never stopped me before. No one asked you to do anything. If the $130 is the price you are quoting then that's fine but I, and I'm sure others, would like to hear from other sources to see if we can get a better deal. You can't tell me that the more parts that we order doesn't affect the pricing. I would like to hear from Purpony and see what he can do. |

If I'm not mistaken, Jeff and David's Machinist is using a mill and figuring hours involved. That would explain why the price doesn't change with multiple pieces. However, it's all the more reason you should consider asking Marc about doing these pieces, because he will digitize it and CNC cut it, making the whole process considerably faster, possibly cheaper, but maybe not. Even if it isn't cheaper, Marc can likely make them faster, and he is a fellow Bueller. And the money he makes from the pieces would allow us to see more fine creations on his X1 and other people's bike as well. Not talking down on Jeff's machinist at all. I've held his work in ny hands; it is fantastic. But Marc's work is good as well. Admittedly I am a bit biased though as I've known Marc for 6, 7 years now as a friend. |

hi guys- settle down now not looking to piss anyone off. Personally i have never had one of these parts in my hands so i cant comment exactly on a cost to machine, material cost, etc. I would guess the ones above are CNC'ed as well. I would love to get my hands on a brace and create a cad model for future product, but id be starting from scratch and have to model it first. If Jeffs machinist already has a cad file that he has used and verified that fitment is fine, is ready to pull the trigger on making them, and jeff is willing to get these made, go for it. Before i went and made a handful, id rather make one, along with the fixture needed and send it to someone for test fitment since i dont have a bike to try it on. I just offered to make these now as someone was in need of one and i didnt know there was a source to get them. I just like making parts to build cool Buells (Message edited by purpony on January 06, 2016) |

LOL. The $130 was a cost break. That was with shipping and cost for the hardware. I believe it got down to $110 a piece with the amount that we sold last time. $10 for shipping depending on where it was going plus $5 for hardware. Anything that was left paid my gas for running around everywhere. If we can get like 20 then Iam sure there will be a price break. If someone else can make them cheaper then cool. Phelan the machinist is using a CNC machine, has a file and everything. Let me nail down the cost and see where we are at and if they can be made cheaper then go that route. Doesn't matter either way to me cause believe me its a lot of work on my end to run around for hardware, to machinist etc and pack for shipping. I have no problem doing all that though for the Badweb members/family. |

No harm, no fowl. All is well if you ask me. Just hammering out details among friends . I have no dog in the fight anyway, as I don't have a tuber anymore. Nice to see there is enough interest for another run though. I think there was 15-20 made last time IIRC. Just means the community is doing well-off keeping these bikes on the road . |

I'm not looking to piss anyone off either, all I'm saying is let's pursue all avenues to see what works best for the group. My company uses multiple machine shops and I could send them a drawing if I had one to get prices on my end too. We give them close to 1 million in work per year so I'm guessing I could get a decent deal. Let's all figure out what works best for all parties involved, maybe get some more people in as well. |

hey guys, I see some interest being generated here for swing arm braces... lets get that moved to a different thread to keep this thread as pure as possible and I will see what I can do. I wont start anything until after the machinist finishes with Jeff's project for frame braces as it would compete for time and energy. |
