Reading up on piston/head change on S2.
Manual mentions marking "piston pin boss".
I know what pin is, what is pin boss?

Thanks.

After you beat all the little pins, you have to beat the pin boss to get to the next level. Oh wait. Its the thick part of the piston that the pin goes through.
The pins can be tough to draw out. I've made a puller using some ready-rod and a 1" pipe nipple with a notch cut out of it to allow it to seat square on the side of the piston. The area just outboard of the wristpin clip gets galled a bit.

If you use the pin boss as a writing surface when you want to identify front and rear pistons, you can clean off the carbon from the crown without erasing your marks.
