Since it's cooling off around here, thought I'd install the fairing lowers. I found the right side very bottom rubs/hits the cam cover , is this normal, or have I done something wrong? I installed according to manual, or what I thought, the manual read anyway. Thanks |

Take-off tank-Cover then loosely install right-lower and tighten too a happy medium then install cover.
Upstate NY we also get colder 4 seasons (Winter) (Winter) (Winter) (Summer). (Message edited by ebutch on October 12, 2015) |

That is exactly how I did it. Tried repositioning clamps , and wiggling things, but nor change to speak of. I'm thinking about trimming it, but don't want to screw it up. |

I don't know about installation, but rather than trimming can I suggest using a hot air gun to heat the lower a little bit and then forming to clear the cam cover? I put a lot of work into prepping a rear fairing and then found that it rocked on the frame. Heating it gave me a nice solid fit. I should point out it was before painting, though. |

I didn't know you could bend fiberglass? |

Make sure you have washers where they are supposed to be during the clamps/gas tank cover installation. Makes a big difference! |

I'll have a look at that. |
