Orient the glass so the position light is at the bottom, in line with the lock screw. The unit I have has 8 clips, 4 on each side. Just install the wire clips so the open ends are under the lip on the back side of the chrome ring. Lap the clips one over the other. Hope this makes sense and helps, Dave
