can someone recommend a good foot peg.

I have stock ones and the rubber just spins on the peg. I am not a racer just a rider These pegs are of the lowest quality and seem dangerous. Where to buy. I see lots listed on ebay any help on this subject please.

Never liked the round rubber pegs and it is the first thing I changed on mine. A range of options to consider and a lot of personal preference. The later Buell pegs are much better than the earlier pegs and are a decent option. My personal favorites are the serrated Joker Machine pegs. I like the solid feeling and I like how they spread the weight and the angle is adjustable. On my S1 I am using Storz pegs. These are knurled round pegs that are short to give you more lean clearance, but are not as good if you want to move your foot around. The Joker's are a bit pricey but I also like another adjustable billet peg that has a diamond cut top (not sure the brand but these are also very comfortable). Always worth checking the American Sport Bike site.

If your rider's footpegs are just worn out, swap them for the passenger pegs, they are the same part.

What's inside the rubber? What does it look like?

Round steel peg if it's the original. Once the rubber gets loose, they're prone to rotation. In 2001 they upgraded the design to get rid of the spark-throwing exposed metal tip.

I have been using these on a couple of my bikes. It think they are a good looking peg, have rubber to help with vibes and not to expensive on ebay.

When my rubber ones wore out, I replaced them with a pair of Buell Millennium edition foot pegs. I think some of the dealers may still have them, and you can pick them up on E-bay pretty commonly too. I got mine from St Paul HD for about 35.00 a set. I just wish there was a matching shifter toe peg to go with them.
I also really like the look of the Knight design ones, and am considering putting the wider version on the rear for passenger comfort.
