Anyone have any luck with:
Oversize Oil Filters (like off of a Twin Cam)
OR
Synthetic Oils

Dyna filters spin right on. I use one when I think about it when I am at the dealer when I buy one. There are at least a hundred Oil threads. No one has ever said Synthetic oil is bad just some of us question its need.

I too use the Dyna filters on all our tubers, have from day one and also use Synth oil. Usually Mobile One V-Twin.
I use it because of it's higher break down temp, much better than straight dino juice. Important for air cooled motors that tend to get REALLY hot sitting in traffic.

I used the Dyna long ones, and Mobil 1 as well. Sometimes cheaper than short ones. Then I found out its the same filter as my Ford Ranger 3.0. Even cheaper, and like Buellistic said comes in colors...

I go to any auto parts store and buy one that will fit a Ford Escort. The specs on the bypass valve are the same(according to the wix filter website) and there is usually a good assortment of brands to choose from.

I've run the FL-1A since 2002 on the advice of Cyclone Charlie. No additional anythings and no problems. Somewhere around 83K miles.

FL-1A works great, but it can spin off due to the extra weight, so throw a hose clamp on there.
