Don't wash your bike, they weren't designed to be washed.
The original cables once wet form rust to the end terminals preventing electrical contact.

OLD SCHOOL:

Pull apart you quick disconnect/connect fittings making sure the contacts are clean, then put electrical grease on both an plug back together ...

Get some black tie wraps and immobilize all your wiring so it is not doing the wiggle test while you are riding(stops mystery electrical problems) ...

Clean your plug wires and put electrical grease where it goes into the coil an in the cap that goes on the spark plug spraying the plug wires with silicon spray ...

Make sure your battery terminals are clean and tight and GROUND TERMINALS(ie: engine to frame or components to frame) are tight ...

You have just water proofed your electrical system ...

Now you can wash your bike or go ride in the rain !!!

I didn't wash my bike, while riding there is no problem at all, after riding i can turn on the bike fine, it's just when it has been sitting for a day or two when this happens.

I'll get some of that electrical grease.

Thanks.

fortunately in this part of spain we have around 300 days of sun plus when it rains i try to avoid using the bike.

one more question in temperatures of 35C how do you deal with the heat of the rear header?

There was a fan option that blew air between the cylinders. Most riders in such hot climates use an oil cooler with a thermostat. Or you could wrap it.
