was this tank pad/protector an OEM buell part sold through buell for tubers or is it an aftermarket part?

Looks aftermarket
the buell protectors were leather/vinyl

I can say that it's not an OEM part of any production Buell.

If it was a Buell authorized accessory, it will most likely have the little R with the circle around it near the logo.

I don't recall seeing them in the past, so I doubt it's an 'official' accessory, but I have been wrong.

On one of my trips to Germany for the MidSummerMeetings, one of my Buell friends gave me a couple of tank pad/protectors that were from German dealerships. Typically those that I have seen have had the dealer name on them. Kind of akin to the dealer stickers on cars and trucks. Of course, I have no clue where the ones I were given are (nearly 25 years collecting Buell stuff can do that to one...), but I did find some pictures of a couple from one of the MidSummerMeeting's that I attended.
