95 Buell S2 for sale………I have had a small tumor in my inner ear for years and years. Lately, it is starting to effect my balance. I have been debating on weather to attend the S2 get together this summer…..(haven’t missed one)……but common sense says no. So with great reservation, I have desided not to ride any more. I will only sell this as a entire lot. NO exceptions. Please do not ask.

This is how it started.

1251 kit, S&S balanced crank assy, thunder storm heads, xp chrome valve covers, screaming eagle low rpm torque cam….(not sure which one at this time, we were debating on a few and I can’t remember what was settled on)……billet inline oil cooler, billet air filter base, billet motor mounts, Barnett clutch plates, updated oil pump and drive assy, cycle electronics chrome high torque starter, cycle electronics stater and regulator. ALL other parts……(shift shaft, detents, dogs, ect ALL are new). 1,200 miles TOTAL ON EVERYTHING………...Broken in nicely with 3 oil and filter changes. Every upgrade done and only the engine cases, clutch basket, carb, ……... (maybe a few other incidentals)…..are original. Both out side cases, cam covers, etc, etc, are new and chrome. Runs very nice, great low end torque and gets over 50 mpg when driven “normal”. Clutch is just getting broken in. XP covers breather syslem with petcock drain catch can, easy to reach. So far never had anything in it. Hard wired for GPS with lockable mount. Windscreen is new. Tach, dash, speedo, all lights new. Wheels, axels, brakes etc all new………(front brake caliper rebuilt)…….In short, the bike was taken 100% apart and all new parts and paint/powder coat redone. Rolls along very nicely at 65 MPH in 6th. Just roll it on, no need to shift to 5th.

Work was professionally done, with a VERY few things that I did
The only thing to finish is the exhaust system. The stock one is on the bike with 2" Super trap and is in perfect shape, just needs polishing. You can use the S1 system and move the air filter a little, or rework the super traps to fit the race pipe or the S1 muffler. I did not want to change the S2 “angle” of the air filter and when it became clear several months ago, that I would have to sell the bike, I never “finished” it.

Jack,
So very sorry to hear about the balance issue. There will come a time when we all have to make that tough decision as to when to stop riding.
Your S2 is one of the BEST examples out there. On top of that is all the history and stories. Man, you have put some SERIOUS miles on that baby.
I still have the picture of all the S2's in my garage from a few years ago when you folks overnight-ed here on the way to Michigan. I'll see if I can dig it up and post it in this thread. Seems appropriate.

Do you plan on getting a 3 wheeler like a Spyder or the like?

Dang Jack!
sorry to hear this, you are the Road Warrior, and have covered so many miles!
Sounds like a 3 wheeler may be the way to go.

Sorry to hear of your retirement from motorcycling, Jack. Just get a convertible sportscar and keeping on truckin'.
The price you're asking seems daunting at first but, as you say, the pile of extra parts would cut the cost of the bike in half and makes it all a nice deal. If I hadn't just added another last year, I'd be giving it some thought. Good luck.

Hey guys........thanks for all the kind words. The tumor is in the inner ear and has been there for years. It poses no threat, just my hearing in that ear is pretty much gone. My balance is slightly effected and aging is also adding to the instability. Not the end of the world.

I may get a 3 wheeler,or something after the MCs are
gone.

Ride safe, all, Jack

That 1997 S3 trike is my wifes. She loves it. Will still do 120 MPH and gets 57 MPG highway.

She has 25,000 miles on the trike so far.

Hope Eric approves of the modification.
