Just bought a 2002 white lightning and original airbox is gone. Connection is a black/white wire and a green wire? Any help please?

Could it be for an air sensor?

Looks like I will be taking that cone off and finding the stock airbox. Can't believe that the last owner put a $500 aircleaner on this bike.

The stock airbox is FUGLY! It's easy enough to get the IAT into the cleaner. Which cleaner it is?

That is the IAT sensor connector, IAT ( Intake Air Temp )helps the ecm determine correct mixture.
With other air boxes a hole is either present or has to be cut.
The alternate is to simply install a sensor, & strap it up out of the way. usually with the sensor near the intake opening.

I have a force winder and for a long time it was under the rain sock on the back side
worked ok there.

It is from D&M custom cycle power flow air cleaner. It is the one that is shiny chrome with a point on it! It looks like crude! It retails for $489.99 I hate it and want just the oval one that won't look out place.

Found and ordered a sensor. Shows that it is a factory part. Was only $20.
