I bought (well traded) a bike today. I picked up a 2000 X1 with the Race ECU and V&H pipe and muffler it came complete with a kinda harleyesque paintjob, green with marble grey rips. I love it! Maybe not the paint but the rest of it for sure. Now where do I find a copy of the owners manual or info on suspension setup? Here's what I know so far I think the front rotor is warped or something it chatters a bit, I think I have too fiddle the suspension some also. I've never owned a bike with adjustable stuff before so all I can do is give my first impressions. There is a lot of dive upon braking (even lightly)but mostly feels really stable, the rear seems to get little twitchy over irregular pavement (maybe too much spring preload?)that the front doesn't notice and the seat SUCKS after about 80 miles. Any suggestions from other people about 6'2" and 205 lbs would be appreciated.

Start with checking out the X1 Files. Is the best condensed source of info on the bike.

well man welcome to the X-1 club.. hehehehe, If you want to get a new seat there are a couple choices. You can get the one Buell makes, or a Corbin (these are the most popular and easiest to find) I personally have the Corbin and have had a couple rides of over 300+ miles and not too bad of trips. Would even try it on the stock seat. plus the corbin can get a backrest if you have a passenger that wants a bit more support.

that is my 2 cents worth
